My Life in Cartoons

I've spent much of my life in and out of the hospital and over the years I've gained quite a sense of humor from it. If I wasn't laughing I would be crying with what I have to deal with and I believe it's better to have a positive outlook on life when it takes a different direction than originally expected. They always say laughter is the best medication.

About Me

TurtleWings: I'm a survivor. Twice I have been diagnosed with very aggressive cancer (Neuroblastoma and Renal Cell Carcinoma) and recently my first transplanted kidney has failed after nine successful years. I currently do dialysis as I await a second transplant. In the mean time I try to keep my spirits high and my attitude a positive one.

Sure, I'm probably the weirdest person you'll ever meet but it's my crazy lovable personality that wins everybody over. I have many quirks and that's what I go with. I live outside the box. I am whatever I want to be in the moment I want to be it.
